What makes the Stealth Evo 4 different from a conventional pair of touring pants?
The Stealth Evo 4 uses a mapped approach to protection, movement and changing riding conditions. A ripstop nylon-led shell forms the foundation, SuperFabric® and Cordura® reinforce higher-exposure zones, D3O Level 2 protectors cover every included impact area, and closable intake-and-exhaust ventilation allows airflow to be adjusted as conditions change.
-
What kind of riding are the Stealth Evo 4 Pants designed for?
The Stealth Evo 4 Pants are designed for long-distance adventure touring across roads and trails, particularly for rides involving extended saddle time and changing terrain, temperatures and weather.
-
Why does the Stealth Evo 4 use ripstop nylon?
Nylon forms the majority of the outer shell, while ripstop construction adds resistance against tearing and helps prevent local damage from spreading easily through the material.
-
Why is SuperFabric® used at the knees?
The knees are a high-exposure area during a slide. SuperFabric® is positioned specifically at this zone to add specialised abrasion-resistant reinforcement over the surrounding shell construction.
-
What role does Cordura® play in the pants?
Cordura® serves two different roles. Reinforcement panels strengthen key slide zones at the knees and rear, while Cordura® stretch panels at the hips, knees and groin support movement in the riding position.
-
Are the Stealth Evo 4 Pants waterproof?
No. DWR-treated shell sections help resist light showers, but the pants themselves are not waterproof. For dedicated rain protection, they can be paired with H2Go Pro Rain Pants through the ModuLayer system.
-
How does the AeroBurst ventilation system work?
Two-position AeroBurst vents at both thighs expose mesh-backed intake areas when opened. Zippered rear exhaust vents provide a path for moving air to leave the pants. Both intake and exhaust openings can be closed when direct ventilation is not required.
-
What impact protectors are included?
The Stealth Evo 4 Pants include D3O L2 PRO (K+L) knee and shin protectors and D3O T5 Evo Pro X hip protectors. Both are CE certified to EN 1621-1: 2012, Level 2.
-
Can I add tailbone protection?
Yes. A dedicated pocket is provided for the CERROS Level 2 tailbone protector, which is sold separately.
-
What does KneeSlap do?
KneeSlap allows the height and position of the knee protectors to be adjusted while wearing the pants, allowing their placement to be fine-tuned after gearing up.
-
Why is there a SuperGrip panel at the seat?
The SuperGrip panel increases contact between the pants and motorcycle seat to help reduce unwanted movement during acceleration, braking and changing terrain.
-
Should the Stealth Evo 4 Pants be worn over regular trousers?
No. They are designed to be worn directly over a base layer.
-
Can the pants be worn over riding boots?
Yes. Velcro adjustment flaps at the hem allow the lower-leg opening to be configured around riding boots.
-
Are both cargo pockets waterproof?
No. The right cargo pocket uses DryCore Waterproof Tech. The left is a standard easy-access cargo pocket.
-
Can the Stealth Evo 4 Pants connect to a riding jacket?
Yes. A jacket connection zipper allows the pants to connect to a compatible riding jacket equipped with the corresponding connection system.
