Wash & Care
Step 1: Prep
- Fasten all Velcro and secure the wrist strap so the hook side can't snag or abrade the panels
- Shake out loose dirt, then lift off surface grit with a soft, dry brush FIRST — before any wiping, so grit isn't dragged across the leather
Step 2: Routine cleaning (preferred)
- After brushing, wipe the leather and fabric with a clean, damp (not wet) microfiber cloth
- For grime, add a little mild, leather-safe cleaner (or a mild neutral soap) to the microfiber cloth, not to the glove — wipe, don't soak
Step 3: Deeper clean (only if needed)
- Clean by hand with minimal lukewarm water, working quickly; do not soak, machine-wash, or wring
- Wipe away residue with a clean, damp (not wet) microfiber cloth
Step 4: Dry
- Reshape and lay flat in a cool, ventilated, shaded place, away from direct sunlight and heat — direct heat stiffens and cracks leather
- While still slightly damp, put the gloves on and flex the fingers and wrists a few times so they dry to the shape of your hand
- Do not tumble dry, iron, or dry clean
Step 5: Condition
- Once completely dry, work a small amount of leather conditioner into the leather panels with a soft cloth; let it absorb and buff off any excess
- Keep conditioner off the mesh, textile and grip areas
- Repeat occasionally through the glove's life to keep the leather supple
Step 6: Store & General
- Store clean and completely dry, in a cool, ventilated place out of direct sunlight; never store the gloves damp or wet
- Avoid contact with harsh chemicals, solvents, thinners, cleaning agents, fuels and direct heat or fire
- When new or damp, dyed leather may transfer some colour to the hands; this is natural and eases over time and use
- The product-name print and printed elements wear gradually with normal use; following this guide helps maintain the gloves through their service life

Product FAQs
-
What makes the Rynox Air GT 2 Gloves versatile?
The Air GT 2 Gloves combine impact protection, abrasion resistance, maximum ventilation, flexible movement, and a compact short-cuff construction in one pair. This balanced construction allows them to cover a wide range of ride scenarios while remaining easy to wear regularly.
-
Are the Air GT 2 Gloves suitable for hot-weather riding?
Yes, the Air GT 2 Gloves are designed for riding in warm and hot conditions. Perforated leather, nylon mesh panels, and ventilated finger gussets work together to circulate air across the hand.
-
Do the FAST-R Palm Sliders affect grip or control?
No. The 2-Piece FAST-R Palm Sliders are positioned clear of the primary grip and control surfaces, allowing the rider to maintain natural contact with the handlebar and levers.
-
Are the Rynox Air GT 2 Gloves waterproof?
No, the Air GT 2 Gloves are not waterproof. Their perforated leather, mesh panels, and ventilated gussets are designed to maximise airflow in warm and dry riding conditions.
-
What are the benefits of short-cuff motorcycle gloves?
Short-cuff motorcycle gloves are compact, quick to put on, and easy to wear beneath a jacket sleeve. The Air GT 2 combines this low-friction format with an adjustable wrist closure and a stretch cuff panel for a secure fit.
-
Can leather motorcycle gloves provide ventilation?
Yes, leather motorcycle gloves can provide ventilation when the leather is perforated and combined with breathable panels. The Air GT 2 uses a perforated leather chassis, a 3D-mesh back panel, and mesh finger gussets to circulate air.
-
Do the Air GT 2 Gloves require a break-in period?
No. The Air GT 2 Gloves use pre-curved fingers shaped around the hand’s natural position on the motorcycle controls. Finger accordions and stretch gussets support movement from the outset, reducing the need for a break-in period.
-
Do the Air GT 2 Gloves work with touchscreens?
Yes, the Air GT 2 Gloves use TapFingertips™ touch-sensitive material on the index finger. This allows compatible phones and navigation screens to be operated without removing the glove.
